MediGlasses Vision Correction System for Nova and GE Head Coils

The MRIfocus vision correction system can be found in the scanner console room.

It contains two lens holders. One for the 32-channel Nova head coil and one for GE 8-channel head coil.

There are drop-in lenses ranging from +6 to -6 dpt with 0.5 increments. Positive Rx lenses are labeled in black, while negative Rx lenses are labeled in red.

The lens holders sit on top of the mirror attachment piece for their respective head coils. They should be placed on the mirror attachment piece after all other steps are taken to prepare the subject to enter the MRI scanner. Once placed, the lens holder should be adjusted for the subject, until the subject says they can comfortably see through the lenses.

The lens holders and a mirror can be used concurrently, regardless of the direction of the mirror.
